Home Art Workbook

chris parry artist workbook - images and comments on my on-going painting practice, comment on, or plugs for, selected exhibitions and works by other artists. This workbook provides me a chance to share my progress in a blog like format and other random things too. I'll try and keep it interesting but then I like watching paint dry. On the right is a selection of the latest posts (RSS Feeds) from a few art blog sites.

Is Farm Town Art? It is addictive. Being a newbie at Facetown I ended up on Farm Space and semi-addicted to farming - who would have thought?

Encrastable Residence # 7

Encastrable is a series of guerrilla art residencies held inside gardening and DIY megastores in the Paris area. The project was initiated by Paul Souviron and Antoine Lejolivet according to facespace link promoted by 'We make Art not Money'. They say "At no cost at all, the young artists have at their disposal a huge array of material that they can grab, move, superimpose, and organize into temporary installations and sculptures. Authorization of the manager of the establishment is obviously never requested." Genius! Pretty much an extension of the random product moving and placing that I and many others seem to enjoy when visiting local supermarkets. Check out the website and see the fun that can be had at your local mitre10 or Bunnings store.
