A series of kitsch landscape works based on Onawe peninsular in Akaroa Harbour. This series of large works completed in my second year at art school saw the begining of my exploration of Paint. These kitsch landscape renderings were when i first began to pour paint rather than apply with a brush, overpainting with enamel spray from cans and large impasto sections created surface variation. While the works were a major part of my development the 'Landscape' genre didn't hold enough interest to me or the art world for me to continue with these works.
